The Montessori Program is for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Each classroom serves a variety of ages and academic levels.
This multiage grouping allows students to learn according to their own abilities. While the focus is on individualized learning, students also have the chance to be part of the teaching and learning process by helping their peers. Key components of the program are individual growth and accountability. We also encourage parent involvement.
We accept students on a space-available, annual basis. Students living in the Central Kitsap School District boundaries receive first priority. If you live outside of the district, you will also need to complete transfer forms, which are available on district's Transfer Request page.
If we receive more applications than we have seats available in the program, we will use a lottery to determine placement.
Students accepted into the program that do not live in the Hawk Elementary boundaries are responsible for adequate transportation and supervision to/from school.
