About Hawk

Our school’s mission is to empower culturally, educationally and economically diverse students to become lifelong learners. We serve about 400 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Our focus on this mission is evident every day. Our dedicated staff  works together to create a safe and caring place for students to achieve.

John D. “Bud” Hawk Elementary at Jackson Park is next to  Bremerton Naval Hospital and The Landing at Jackson Park Navy Family Housing. Our school carries the name of a U.S. Army veteran who earned the Medal of Honor during World War II. He later served as a teacher and principal in Central Kitsap School District.

We believe  all students can learn. We are committed to continuous improvement in the classroom. As we build a supportive school community, we continue to advance our students’ academic and personal growth. We welcome your involvement. We invite you to join with us to provide a strong educational program for our students.
